Join Andy Volpe with an in-depth look at the Printing methods used in the New England (English) Colonies from the 1630s to 1790s. Learn about the differences between Letterpress and Engraving printing, how they were used, and the impact each had as well as Newspapers, Magazines and other printed media and their use, popularity (or scarcity) in the Colonies as well as what was going on in Europe at the same time, with a focus on Massachusetts Bay Colony up to Paul Revere.
Andy is a Living Historian and Fine Artist in the Central Massachusetts area. Best known for his Roman Legionary presentation, which he designed and developed in 2001 at the former Higgins Armory Museum (now part of Worcester Art Museum, where he still presents); and has been bringing to area schools, colleges, libraries and museums since 2004.
