Session Two - Tips on Stewarding Family Collections

This second session will review good practices for storing and handling your family heirlooms and papers. We will discuss archival-quality materials and how to use them to organize your collections, as well as what to avoid and practical alternatives for at-home collections care.

You will come away knowing how to store your family photos, papers, and other heirlooms. There will be time for Q&A, during which we can brainstorm ways to properly handle and store unusual materials.

The previous session on November 9th, 2021, introduced the concepts of cultural heritage preservation and laid the foundation for saving your family heirlooms. You do not need to have attended the previous session to participate.
