Explore the world of rhythm with Otha Day! Learn and play various songs, rhythms, chants, and activities from the cultures of East and West Africa, the Middle East, First Nations Peoples, Latin America, and African America.

Otha leads fun and lively drum circle events from the core belief that rhythm can build community, promote well-being and healing, and create joy. He supports participants as they learn about the importance of rhythm in all aspects of life through drumming and rhythmic activities and experiences, showing them that their “heartbeat and breath are rhythms of the soul and the pathways of connection to everyone.”

Join us on the lawn behind the Newburyport Senior Community Center for this engaging intergenerational program. This program will not take place at the library. Because of the heat and air quality, this program will now take place in the cafeteria at the Bresnahan School!
