Clara Barton: One Woman Play by Sheryl Faye (IN PERSON)

Tuesday, November 27:00—8:00 PMProgram RoomNewburyport Public LibraryNewburyport Public Library, 94 State Street, Newburyport, MA, 01950

From the time she was old enough to be a nurse within her own family, Clara Barton's life was dedicated to helping others. She accepted no pay as she taught poor children whose parents had no money to send them to school. She raised warehouses full of food, medicine and clothing during the Civil War, and then courageously went to the front to nurse the wounded and dying. She founded the American Red Cross in 1881, at age 59, and led it for the next 23 years.

Join living performer Sheryl Faye as she brings Clara Barton to life. Sheryl has a BFA in Acting from Emerson College and performs eleven one woman plays that tour to different schools for enrichment programs, libraries, and senior centers throughout New England. Learn more about Sheryl HERE.
